Flexispot E7 Review: The Best Standing Desk for a UK Box Room
We tested the Flexispot E7 in a 2.4m x 2.7m box room. Here's what works, what doesn't, and who it's right for.
Who this review is for
If you’re working from a bedroom, a box room, or any space where every centimetre matters, most standing desk reviews aren’t written for you. They test 160cm desks in home offices that are bigger than most UK flats.
This review covers the Flexispot E7 in the 120cm width specifically — the smallest configuration — and assumes you want to fit it alongside a bed, wardrobe, or other furniture.
What’s in the box
The E7 ships in two boxes: the frame and the desktop. Combined weight is around 40kg, so plan for someone to help you get it upstairs if you’re in a flat.
Check the E7 on Flexispot ~£319Stability at full height
The main question for any small-space standing desk: does it wobble? The E7 has a dual-motor, 4-stage frame, and at max height (125cm) with two 27” monitors on top, I measured deflection at about 3mm when typing aggressively. That’s below the threshold where you notice it.
For context, a cheaper single-motor desk I tested previously (not naming names) had 12-15mm of sway at the same height.
Room fit
In a 2.4m x 2.7m bedroom, the 120cm E7 fits along the shorter wall with 40cm clearance each side for a chair and a small bedside unit. If your room is narrower than 2m on the desk wall, you’ll want to measure carefully — the frame feet extend slightly beyond the desktop width.
