Affiliate disclosure
Last updated 20 April 2026.
CompactNest uses affiliate links. When you click one of our links and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. This is how the site is funded.
Specifically, as an Amazon Associate, CompactNest earns from qualifying purchases. We also participate in other affiliate programmes, including Awin.
What this means in practice
- The price you pay is the same. Affiliate commissions come out of the retailer's margin, not yours. Prices are identical whether you use our links or go to the retailer directly.
- Recommendations are independent of commercial relationships. We write about products we think are worth recommending. If a product disappoints, we say so, even when we'd earn a commission on sales.
- We pay for products we review. Where we have received a product free of charge or at a discount for review purposes, we will say so clearly at the top of the review.
How to identify an affiliate link
Every affiliate link on CompactNest routes through a /go/
URL on our own domain before redirecting to the retailer. For example,
a link to a desk on Amazon goes via
https://compactnest.co.uk/go/product-slug first. This
lets us count clicks without loading tracking scripts on the review
page itself.
Links to retailers are marked up with
rel="sponsored nofollow noopener" so search engines
understand they are commercial links.
What we don't do
- We don't run display advertising on the site.
- We don't sell sponsored posts or paid-for reviews.
- We don't take money to alter editorial rankings.
- We don't share affiliate click data with third parties beyond the analytics arrangements described in our privacy policy.
If that ever changes, this page will change first.
